Senior Systems Engineer - Aerospace Electronics en Barcelona, España

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our aerospace division in Spain. This is an on-site, full-time position where you will take a lead role in designing and implementing cutting-edge avionics systems and control interfaces for commercial aircraft. You will be responsible for architecting complex hardware and software solutions that meet stringent aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in developing next-generation flight management systems and cockpit displays for both new aircraft programs and retrofit initiatives.

Who are we looking for

We need a talented engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, preferably with hands-on experience in avionics or flight control systems. You should have a strong background in digital electronics, embedded systems, and systems integration. Your analytical mindset, combined with attention to detail and ability to work within strict safety protocols, will set you apart. We're looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and passionate about contributing to aviation safety and innovation. Fluency in Spanish is essential as you will be working with local regulatory bodies and Spanish-speaking team members.

Skills and competencies

• Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies and MBSE tools
• Strong knowledge of avionics architecture, DO-254/DO-178C standards
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and simulation frameworks
• Expertise in circuit design, PCB layout, and electrical integration
• Proficiency with CATIA, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar engineering software
• Understanding of power distribution systems and thermal management in aerospace applications
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems
• Project management experience and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
