Senior Software Architect - Cloud Infrastructure en Madrid, España

About the role

At Indra Group, we are seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect to lead the design and development of innovative cloud-based infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support our critical defense and security applications. This is a Full-time, on-site position where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technological solutions that strengthen national and international security.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a visionary technology leader with 8+ years of experience in software architecture and cloud infrastructure. You should have a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, particularly in high-security environments. Your expertise should span multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization technologies, and microservices architecture. We need someone who is passionate about innovation, possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities, and can communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your leadership skills and ability to mentor junior architects are essential.

Skills and competencies

• Expert knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and enterprise design principles
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software design
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Advanced knowledge of microservices architecture and API design
• Expertise in database design, both relational and NoSQL solutions
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience in agile and scrum methodologies
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

Work arrangement

This position is offered on a Full-time, on-site basis. You will be working from our offices in Madrid, Spain, where you will lead architectural initiatives and collaborate closely with our engineering teams.
