About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, optimization, and support of critical backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building enterprise-grade applications in Python, strong expertise in relational databases, and a proven track record of troubleshooting complex distributed environments.

Location: 100% Remote (Spain-based candidates only)
Language: Advanced English (C1) required

What you'll do

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Python.
Develop and manage database solutions using SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in complex distributed systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
Ensure software reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

7+ years of professional experience with Python.
Strong experience with relational databases: SQL Server / Oracle / PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Or equivalent platforms
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in distributed systems.
Advanced English level (C1).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

Java and Spring Boot (microservices development).
Financial services domain knowledge: Trading / Market Risk / FRTB / IMA
Integration middleware experience: TIBCO / MQ / Kafka
Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
Docker and Kubernetes.
Scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys).
Scripting and automation: PowerShell / Bash
