About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our dynamic aerospace technology team in Spain. In this full-time, on-site position, you will design and develop cutting-edge embedded systems for advanced flight simulation and avionics integration. You'll work on complex hardware-software integration projects that push the boundaries of simulation technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for commercial and military aviation clients.

Who are we looking for

We're looking for a talented professional with a strong background in embedded systems engineering and aerospace applications. You should have proven experience with real-time systems, flight avionics integration, and hardware design for simulation environments. Your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and passion for aviation technology will be essential. Fluent Spanish language skills are required for this position, as you'll work closely with our Spanish-based teams and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex technical documentation of avionics systems and flight panel architectures
• Design and prototype hardware solutions for integrating real aircraft equipment into full-motion flight simulators
• Develop embedded firmware for simulation hardware interfaces and sensor integration
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of hardware-software systems to ensure FAA/EASA compliance standards
• Collaborate with simulation software engineers to optimize system performance and real-time processing
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in fielded simulator systems
• Document design specifications and maintain technical repositories for future reference
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and competencies

• Advanced proficiency in embedded systems design and microcontroller programming (ARM, x86 architectures)
• Strong expertise in C/C++ and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Demonstrated experience with avionics systems, flight data buses (ARINC 429, CAN), and MIL-STD protocols
• Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, Eagle, or equivalent)
• Understanding of simulation technology and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and technical documentation skills
• Fluent Spanish language proficiency (professional level required)
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
