About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team in Barcelona. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge hardware solutions for industrial automation systems. This is a Full-time, on-site position where you'll work with state-of-the-art technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market. You'll take ownership of hardware projects from concept through production, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.

Who are we looking for

We're looking for a talented hardware engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics design and industrial systems integration. You should have a strong background in circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills will be crucial as you analyze technical documentation, design sophisticated hardware architectures, and integrate complex equipment into automated systems. You must be fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills for working in our multicultural team.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret technical documentation for industrial control panels and automation systems
Design custom hardware solutions to integrate third-party equipment into automation frameworks
Develop and optimize PCB designs using CAD tools and simulation software
Conduct hardware testing, validation, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
Create technical specifications and design documentation
Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations

Skills and competencies

Expert knowledge of circuit design and analog/digital electronics
Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, KiCAD, or similar)
Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems (ARM, PIC)
Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, CANbus, Ethernet)
Familiarity with automation systems and control interfaces
Knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations (CE, UL)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Fluent in Spanish and English
