About the role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team in Spain. This is a Full-time, on-site position where you will architect and develop scalable cloud-based solutions for our enterprise clients. You will lead the design and implementation of microservices, work with modern cloud platforms, and mentor junior developers. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that serve millions of users across Europe.
Who are we looking for
We are looking for an experienced backend developer with a strong foundation in software architecture and cloud technologies. You should have at least 6 years of professional experience in backend development, with proven expertise in designing distributed systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about code quality, performance optimization, and building robust APIs. You should be comfortable working in agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and taking ownership of complex technical challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are essential.
Skills and competencies
Expert-level proficiency in Python, Java, or Go
Deep understanding of microservices architecture and API design patterns
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Solid understanding of security best practices and authentication protocols
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
