Day-to-day tasks include:

• Conducting state-of-the-art research and technical feasibility studies for problem-solving.

• Technical execution of artificial intelligence projects applied to the primary sector and natural resources, ensuring the achievement of objectives, deadlines, quality, and deliverables.

• Supervising technical teams, planning, and monitoring tasks using tools such as Jira, GitHub, and other collaborative environments.

• Defining requirements, architectures, work plans, and validation strategies, translating client and partner needs into viable technological solutions.

• Contributing to the definition of the R&D strategy for the Primary Sector and Natural Resources line, identifying new technological application opportunities.

• Collaborating in the preparation of proposals and technical bids for national and international calls, as well as in meetings with clients, partners, and consortia.

You will join the Intelligent Systems Area, within the Primary Sector and Natural Resources line. In this line, we work on the development and application of artificial intelligence technologies to address challenges in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, forestry, fisheries, aquaculture, marine, and environment. We participate in projects related, among other fields, to:

• Precision agriculture and livestock farming.

• Monitoring and sustainable management of natural resources.

• Automatic analysis of images from cameras, drones, satellites, and other sensors.

• Computer vision for detection, classification, segmentation, and tracking.

• Prediction and decision support using machine learning and deep learning techniques.

• Optimization of production processes and improvement of their sustainability.

• Integration and exploitation of multi-sensor and geospatial data.

• Development of technological solutions for the marine, forest, and environmental sectors.

You will join a young and dynamic team with extensive experience in projects involving these technologies, with the clear mission of becoming the main driver of digitalization in Galician industry and a benchmark in process modernization through the application of innovative technologies.

We are looking for a person to contribute to consolidating and growing the line, combining technical execution and project management, support for the technological strategy, and contribution to new R&D&I proposals.

• At least 3 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (ML/DL) and Python development. Knowledge of AI applied to imaging, computer vision, or image processing is desirable.

• Experience with GIT and code review processes (code quality, development best practices...).

• Fluent communication in English, technical documentation writing, and collaboration on international projects.

• Passionate about new technologies and solving problems. And, of course, willing to bring new ideas.

• Ability to work in a team.

• A degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Marine Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or any related technical or scientific discipline.

• It would be great if you had experience in preparing proposals for national and European calls.

• We will take into account knowledge or experience in the development or technological validation in any of the fields of the primary sector and natural resources: agriculture, livestock, fisheries, aquaculture, marine environment, forestry, environment, or biodiversity.

Las tareas del día a día incluyen:

• Realizar investigaciones de estado del arte y estudio de alternativas técnicas a los problemas detectados.

• Ejecución técnica de proyectos de inteligencia artificial aplicada al sector primario y los recursos naturales, asegurando el cumplimiento de objetivos, plazos, calidad y entregables.

• Supervisar equipos técnicos, planificar y realizar el seguimiento de tareas mediante herramientas como Jira, GitHub y otros entornos colaborativos.

• Definir requisitos, arquitecturas, planes de trabajo y estrategias de validación, traduciendo las necesidades de clientes y socios en soluciones tecnológicas viables.

Te incorporarás al Área de Sistemas Inteligentes, dentro de la línea de Sector Primario y Recursos Naturales. Desde esta línea trabajamos en el desarrollo y aplicación de tecnologías de inteligencia artificial para dar respuesta a retos de sectores como el agrícola, ganadero, forestal, pesquero, acuícola, marino y medioambiental. Participamos en proyectos relacionados, entre otros ámbitos, con:

• Agricultura y ganadería de precisión.

• Monitorización y gestión sostenible de recursos naturales.

• Análisis automático de imágenes procedentes de cámaras, drones, satélites y otros sensores.

• Visión artificial para detección, clasificación, segmentación y seguimiento.

• Predicción y apoyo a la toma de decisiones mediante técnicas de machine learning y deep learning.

• Optimización de procesos productivos y mejora de su sostenibilidad.

• Integración y explotación de datos multisensor y geoespaciales.

• Desarrollo de soluciones tecnológicas para el medio marino, forestal y ambiental.

Buscamos incorporar a una persona que contribuya a consolidar y hacer crecer la línea, combinando la ejecución técnica y gestión de proyectos, apoyo a la estrategia tecnológica y la contribución a nuevas propuestas de I+D+i.

• Experiencia de al menos 3 años en Inteligencia Artificial (ML/DL) y desarrollo en Python. Deseable conocimientos de aplicación de IA sobre imagen, visión artificial o procesamiento de imágenes.

• Experiencia con GIT y procedimiento de revisión de código (calidad del código, buenas prácticas de desarrollo...).

• Comunicación en inglés de forma fluida, redactar documentación técnica y colaborar en proyectos internacionales.

• Apasionado/a por las nuevas tecnologías y los problemas a resolver. Y, por supuesto, estar dispuesto a ofrecer nuevas ideas.

• Capacidad de trabajar en equipo.

• Titulación en Ingeniería Informática, Telecomunicaciones, Ingeniería Agronómica, Ingeniería de Montes, Ciencias del Mar, Matemáticas, Física o alguna disciplina técnica o científica relacionada.

• Sería estupendo que tuvieras experiencia en la preparación de propuestas para convocatorias nacionales y europeas.

• Tendremos en cuenta el conocimiento o experiencia en el desarrollo o validación tecnológica en alguno de los ámbitos del sector primario y los recursos naturales: agricultura, ganadería, pesca, acuicultura, medio marino, sector forestal, medioambiente o biodiversidad.
