More than 4 years of experience implementing ETL processes, managing databases, and developing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
Extensive technical experience in Pentaho Kettle (or similar legacy ETL tools such as Talend), relational databases (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL), and task orchestration via Jenkins.
Solid experience in Qlik Sense. Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is also valued.
Demonstrated experience working with financial data (Payment Service Providers, tax reports, Controlling processes) and marketing data (campaign cost ingestion and advertising spend tracking).
Advanced SQL and robust error management in production environments.
Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines (especially during month-end financial closings), excellent communication skills, and a methodical and analytical mindset.

The role
For one of our clients, a major technology consultancy, we are looking for an Analytics Engineer, who will be absolutely responsible for the daily data operations that feed Payment Service Providers (PSP), Taxes, Management Control (Controlling), general financial reports, and Marketing campaign cost tracking. They must ensure that ETL processes in Pentaho run smoothly via Jenkins, that MariaDB instances maintain high performance, and that Qlik Sense dashboards provide the exact numbers required by various stakeholders. This is a high-impact role where precision and stability are non-negotiable. Their functions will be:
What you'll do
Lead, maintain, and optimize core pipelines using Pentaho Kettle (version 9.3 Community).
Manage data transformations and complex queries in MariaDB, and ensure that all automated processes are orchestrated perfectly through Jenkins.
Work daily with transactional data, payment gateways (PSP), tax reports, control reconciliations, and the daily ingestion of marketing campaign costs from various advertising platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain critical financial dashboards and reports in Qlik Sense, extracting logical conclusions and actionable insights.
Diagnose and troubleshoot data issues in a real production environment, ensuring that financial closing and daily reports are never delayed.
