About the role

At Grupo Crit, we are looking for an Editorial Layout Technician to join an important publishing and educational company located in Tres Cantos (Madrid).

If you have experience in editorial layout, master Adobe InDesign, and are interested in participating in editorial projects, accompanying them from the receipt of originals to their final delivery to Production, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Your mission will be to ensure the correct technical management of editorial projects, coordinating with the Editorial, Design, Archive, and Production departments, as well as with external collaborators, guaranteeing the quality of materials and compliance with established deadlines.

What you'll do

Manage the technical layout of assigned editorial projects.
Coordinate the flow of originals, designs, documents, and proofs between the different departments until their final validation.
Collect and manage the necessary materials for each project: originals, interior and cover models, illustrations, photographs, and layouts.
Technically validate the interior and cover models of new projects.
Perform layout, printing, and review of editorial proofs.
Prepare the necessary documentation for external collaborators and follow up on their deliveries.
Review and validate the received proofs, ensuring compliance with technical and quality criteria.
Prepare the final documentation for the delivery of projects to the Production department.
Collaborate with the different teams involved throughout the entire editorial process.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in editorial layout, graphic production, or publishing.
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (essential).
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Knowledge of the editorial process and production of printed publications.
Ability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Attention to detail, technical judgment, and quality orientation.
Ability to work and coordinate with different departments and collaborators.

What you'll get

Contract through a temporary employment agency (ETT) for 6 months.
Full-time.
Salary between €20,000 and €25,000 gross per year, depending on experience and knowledge.
Hybrid model: 2 days in the office and 3 days of teleworking, to be agreed upon with the manager.
Indicative working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility to be agreed upon.

What you'll do

Gestionar técnicamente los proyectos editoriales asignados.
Coordinar el flujo de originales, diseños, documentos y pruebas entre las distintas áreas hasta su validación final.
Recopilar y gestionar los materiales necesarios para cada proyecto: originales, modelos de interiores y cubiertas, ilustraciones, fotografías y montajes.
Validar técnicamente los modelos de interiores de nuevos proyectos.
Realizar la maquetación, impresión y revisión de pruebas editoriales.
Preparar la documentación necesaria para colaboradores externos y realizar el seguimiento de sus entregas.
Revisar y validar las maquetas recibidas, asegurando el cumplimiento de los criterios técnicos y de calidad.
Preparar la documentación final para la entrega de los proyectos al departamento de Producción.
Colaborar con los diferentes equipos implicados durante todo el proceso editorial.

Experiencia previa en maquetación editorial, producción gráfica o edición.
Dominio de Adobe InDesign (imprescindible).
Conocimientos de Adobe Photoshop y Adobe Illustrator.
Conocimiento del proceso editorial y de producción de publicaciones impresas.
Capacidad para gestionar varios proyectos y plazos simultáneamente.
Atención al detalle, criterio técnico y orientación a la calidad.
Capacidad para trabajar y coordinarse con diferentes departamentos y colaboradores.

Nice to have

Experiencia supervisando y revisando trabajos realizados por colaboradores externos.
Experiencia previa en editoriales.
