About the role
We are seeking a talented Junior Software Developer to join our dynamic Innovation Lab team in Barcelona. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in software development within a forward-thinking organization. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to split your time between our state-of-the-art Barcelona office and remote work. You'll be mentored by experienced developers and given the chance to contribute to real-world applications that impact thousands of users.
Who are we looking for
We're looking for motivated individuals with a strong foundation in software development fundamentals. Ideally, you have recently completed your computer science degree, bootcamp, or have equivalent practical experience. You should be passionate about coding, eager to learn new technologies, and willing to grow professionally. A collaborative mindset is essential—we value team players who can communicate effectively and contribute ideas. Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies is a plus. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who demonstrate problem-solving skills and genuine enthusiasm for technology.
Skills and competencies
Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
Familiarity with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and web services
Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
Quick learner with adaptability to new frameworks and tools
Ability to write clean, maintainable code
Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Hybrid: This position combines office-based work in our Barcelona headquarters with remote work flexibility. You'll spend approximately 60% of your time in our modern Barcelona office and 40% working remotely. This hybrid setup ensures you benefit from team collaboration while maintaining work-life balance.
