About the role

We are looking for an IT Product Manager specialized in Payment Methods to lead the technological management of solutions in the financial services sector. This position, based in Madrid, requires experience in technology and extensive knowledge in the area of payment methods from a technological perspective.

Direct placement with a final client in the financial sector.
Hybrid remote/on-site arrangement, office in downtown Madrid.

What you'll do

Lead the development and evolution of new card payment solutions, from the analysis phase to their deployment in production.
Define the functional scope of payment products and services, aligning client needs with technological capabilities.
Coordinate and monitor strategic payment projects, working cross-functionally with internal teams, technology providers, and international schemes.
Act as the main point of contact with clients, managing demand, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Oversee certification processes for payment devices and solutions (terminals, cards, digital environments, e-commerce, wallets, etc.), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Drive innovation in payment methods by identifying new trends, solutions, and opportunities for improvement in existing products.
Participate in industry forums, working groups, and collaborative projects at both national and international levels.
Manage the evolution of associated products and services, ensuring regulatory and security compliance.
Lead and develop the team under your responsibility, fostering collaboration, quality, and results orientation.

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Systems, or a related field.
More than 10 years of experience managing complex payment method products and/or technology projects, preferably in banking, card payments, or financial services environments.
In-depth knowledge of the card payment ecosystem, EMV and Contactless standards, and security regulations (PCI).
Ability to combine business vision with technical knowledge, acting as the bridge between clients and technology.
Skill in demand management, prioritization, and tracking of initiatives.
Experience liaising with clients and external partners.
Valuable experience in agile methodologies and regulated environments.
High level of English, both oral and written.
Leadership skills, autonomy, results orientation, and communication abilities.

What you'll do

Liderar el desarrollo y evolución de nuevas soluciones de pago con tarjeta, desde la fase de análisis hasta su puesta en producción.
Definir el alcance funcional de productos y servicios de pago, alineando las necesidades de clientes con las capacidades tecnológicas.
Coordinar y hacer seguimiento de proyectos estratégicos de pagos, trabajando de forma transversal con equipos internos, proveedores tecnológicos y esquemas internacionales.
Actuar como interlocutor/a principal con clientes, gestionando la demanda, priorizando iniciativas y asegurando una comunicación fluida durante todo el ciclo del proyecto.
Supervisar los procesos de certificación de dispositivos y soluciones de pago (terminales, tarjetas, entornos digitales, e‑commerce, wallets, etc.), garantizando el cumplimiento de estándares del sector.
Impulsar la innovación en medios de pago, identificando nuevas tendencias, soluciones y oportunidades de mejora en productos existentes.
Participar en foros sectoriales, grupos de trabajo y proyectos colaborativos a nivel nacional e internacional.
Gestionar la evolución de productos y servicios asociados, asegurando el cumplimiento normativo y de seguridad.
Liderar y desarrollar al equipo a su cargo, fomentando la colaboración, la calidad y la orientación a resultados.

Experiencia de más de 10 años en la gestión de productos y/o proyectos tecnológicos complejos de medios de pago, preferiblemente en entornos de banca, pagos con tarjeta o servicios financieros.
Conocimiento profundo del ecosistema de pagos con tarjeta, estándares EMV y Contactless, y normativa de seguridad (PCI).
Capacidad para combinar visión de negocio y conocimiento técnico, actuando como nexo entre clientes y tecnología.
Habilidad para la gestión de la demanda, priorización y seguimiento de iniciativas.
Experiencia en interlocución con clientes y partners externos.
Valorable experiencia en metodologías ágiles y en entornos regulados.
Nivel alto de inglés, tanto oral como escrito.
Capacidad de liderazgo, autonomía, orientación a resultados y habilidades de comunicación.
