The Data Factory management team is part of the Data & AI team at Telefónica CDO and Digital Innovation, focusing on the construction, operation, and evolution of data architectures and solutions at scale.

Our team is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of data ingestion, transformation, and exploitation to enable capabilities that drive the company's strategic initiatives and innovation projects, as well as support for their operation. We work to turn data into a key asset that accelerates Telefónica's digital transformation through cutting-edge platforms, processes, and technologies.

What will your mission be? 🎯

We are looking to bring on a trainee to strengthen the Data Factory team in tasks related to data ingestion, transformation, and exploitation.

This position will have a dual objective: to support the team's operational activities and to develop knowledge, experience, and skills in tools, solutions, and technical architectures related to the data field. The selected candidate will take part in real Data & AI initiatives, contributing from day one while building a solid professional foundation in data engineering and advanced analytics.

How will you contribute with your skills to the purpose of the scholarship? 💼

Support in the development and maintenance of data pipelines.

Support in data integration, transformation, and information exploitation processes.

Collaboration on technical documentation and continuous process improvement.

Participation in tasks related to data quality and data governance.

Support in the design and development of internal reporting for the area.

Collaboration on Data & AI and CDO initiatives and projects.

Participation in the adoption and evolution of data tools and architectures.

What skills are we looking for? 🔎

Required technical and soft skills

Programming in Python focused on data processing and transformation.

Knowledge of SQL for data querying and exploitation.

Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts and distributed processing.

Basic knowledge of technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, or equivalent.

Proficiency with version control tools and collaborative development (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).

Basic knowledge of collaborative development methodologies.

Good practices in technical documentation.

Analytical skills and a problem-solving orientation.

Proactivity and autonomy in learning.

Adaptability to constantly evolving technological environments.

Desired technical and soft skills

Academic experience or interest in Business Intelligence tools and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Grafana).

Knowledge of or interest in ETL/ELT processes.

Interest in Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Analytics.

Motivation to work in Cloud ecosystems, especially Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.

Interest in applied Generative Artificial Intelligence for data.

Interest in process automation and development assistants.

Ability to work in a team in multidisciplinary environments.

Effective communication skills.

English: sufficient level to understand technical documentation and work with English-language content and tools (required).

La gerencia de Data Factory forma parte del equipo de Data & AI en Telefónica CDO e Innovación Digital, teniendo como foco la construcción, operación y evolución de arquitecturas y soluciones de datos a escala.

Nuestro equipo es responsable del desarrollo y mejora continua de la ingesta, transformación y explotación de datos para habilitar capacidades que impulsen iniciativas estratégicas de la compañía y proyectos de innovación, así como del soporte a su operación. Trabajamos para convertir los datos en un activo clave que permita acelerar la transformación digital de Telefónica mediante plataformas, procesos y tecnologías de última generación.

Buscamos incorporar un perfil en formación para reforzar el equipo de Data Factory en tareas relacionadas con la ingesta, transformación y explotación de datos.

Esta incorporación tendrá un doble objetivo: apoyar las actividades operativas del equipo y desarrollar conocimientos, experiencia y capacidades en herramientas, soluciones y arquitecturas técnicas vinculadas al ámbito de los datos. La persona seleccionada participará en iniciativas reales de Data & AI, contribuyendo desde el primer día mientras construye una sólida base profesional en ingeniería de datos y analítica avanzada.
