• Python: Advanced mastery of the language, especially in the use of typing
(typing) and asynchronous programming with async/await.
• FastAPI: Deep knowledge of the framework, including route management,
dependency injection, and HTTP exception handling.
• Pydantic v2: Experience in data validation, use of BaseModel, as well as
methods such as model_dump() and patterns such as exclude_unset.
• SQLModel / SQLAlchemy: Practical experience with ORM, complex queries,
session management, bulk updates, and error handling such as
IntegrityError.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar): Solid knowledge of
transactions, rollbacks, and database constraints.
• Version control: Experience working with Git and workflows in
GitLab.
Valuable / Day-to-day tools:
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest).
• Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) to run and debug
applications in a local environment.
We are looking for an experienced backend developer to maintain, optimize, and
expand a modern API-based service, built with FastAPI. The ideal person
will be autonomous, with the ability to solve problems efficiently and with solid
knowledge of relational databases and modern typing in Python.
