About your team

We are a cross-functional team of 5-10 people with designers, backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineers. They are supported by a platform engineering team. We move fast, experiment, learn a lot, and build new products for our growing base of 20+ million active users.

About the tech

This is an overview of the tech stack we are using. You are not expected to know all of it now. But you are expected to be learning how to use most of these in your first 3 months.

Code

• PHP/Symfony - primary language for coding.

• Golang - secondary language. Used primarily where speed/efficiency is required.

• GraphQL - the main method of communication. Applies both to service-to-service and frontend-service communication.

• CI/CD with 50+ deployments per day.

• CQRS, commands via saga/temporal, queries via GraphQL.

• Microservices architecture (over 100).

Requirements

• You have 7+ years of backend engineering experience, with hands-on experience building and scaling distributed systems and strong expertise in PHP and Symfony.

• You are a quick problem solver who takes ownership

• You are genuinely open to feedback

• You are familiar with common patterns like CQRS, circuit breaking, and service orchestration

• You can effectively contribute to architectural discussions.

• You are product-minded and always thinking about the end-user impact

• You are genuinely excited to work in a supportive, collaborative environment where we learn, experiment, and continuously improve.

Bonus points if you've worked with Golang, or GraphQL API design at scale.
